I don't know if this happened, but I know that it's true...
Soren's formative years were spent in a land shrouded by mist and fog. This atmosphere of sublime melancholy instilled in him a proclivity toward introspection. A solitary boy, Soren sought refuge in books and stories to cope with feelings of loneliness and isolation. When his schooling began, he discovered a powerful and hitherto unknown aspect of his identity: a lover's heart. With the hopeful longing of Romeo and the unsatiated desperation of Don Juan, Soren began to navigate the trials and tribulations of young love. Townsfolk would gossip (as townsfolk are want to do) that there were few girls left he hadn't wooed; needless to say this was a burdened reputation to carry in a small religious community. At war with his own nature, Soren left his hometown to seek his fortunes in the world of academia and art. Although no less susceptible to love, Soren had become weary of the search for a soulmate. The momentary conquests of the heart no longer filled the emptiness clawing at his soul. Again, as he had in childhood, Soren retreated into books to weather this emotional storm. Nietzsche, Dostoyevsky, Rilke, & Tennessee Williams lit his way with their insights into human nature and the challenges of living authentically. But the mind cannot entirely quiet the persistent cries of a troubled heart. Time passed. Mistakes were made. And then one day, after having all but given up on ever finding what he'd been relentlessly seeking, something unexpected happened. Whether by providence, myopic tenacity, or serendipitous accident (he'll never know) suddenly everything changed. As if out of his dreams, a woman appeared; a person unlike any he had ever met before. She seemed to know his depths, and she openly shared her own. Over time, this connection and trust only grew. Like two reunited halves, Soren and his love embarked on a new shared adventure. That adventure continues to this day. The search for home and happiness has led them over mountains and across seas; into great cities and to the outskirts of civilization. Whether on stage in front of applauding crowds or behind a microphone whispering seductive lullabies, Soren continues to be sustained by this ever-evolving companionship.
